Chapter 8 Summary: Raid!

The chapter 8 is about the Boot’s plan to blame Elmer and George in a panty raid, Bruno and Boots were in their rooms waiting for Elmer and George to sleep, so Boots was talking with George about the dance at Miss Scrimmage Finishing School for ladies then they were discussing because Boots hadn’t the same ideas like George about the dance, then George got into bed and when he was sound asleep Boots was preparing all to begin the plan then fifteen minutes later the window opened and he went out along with a monogrammed money clip, a personalized teletype machine key and a gold pen and pencil set, all clearly the property of George Wexford-Smyth III.

Elmer had not gone to the dance either because he dislike girls and Bruno also was waiting Elmer until he went to sleep but actually Elmer didn’t want to sleep because he was observing the crab nebula with his telescope because also he was an astronomer, Elmer was very distracted observing the sky, stars and the universe so Bruno tiptoed through the room gathering up some of Elmer's more recognizable possessions, the skull of a rodent, a signed membership in the Toronto Horticultural Society and a corked test tube bearing a label (Drimsdale, Test 3-A, Sept. 15/80). Elmer was still raving about the crab nebula and was even starting to sketch it when Bruno opened the door and shut it silently then Bruno was knocking on the Perry Elbert’s door of the room 205 because he needed to get out through his window so he met with Boots at the old cannon then they went to Miss Scrimmage Finishing School for ladies to ask for help to Diane, Cathy and all the ladies. Bruno and Boots told to the girls if they could bring all their panties and make a mess in the rooms putting all the Elmer and George stuff inside of the rooms in order to blame them for the entire riot.

The plan was in action with Bruno and Boots running with the panties and the girls making a lot of noise and auctioning the fire alarm to make more chaos, and then Miss Scrimmage woke up waving a shoot gun and shooting it for accident to the sign that now was read: Miss Scrimmage's Fishing School for Young Ladies. After Bruno and Boots returned to McDonald Hall, Boots extracted a pair of pink panties from the pillowcase and stuffed them into the pocket of George's tan jacket. The rest of the panties he pushed under George's pillow. Then he climbed into bed and promptly fell asleep.

Chapter 7 Summary: Desperate measures

In the chapter 7 Bruno and Boots were punished by Mr. Sturgeon by taking away their privileges, then Bruno and Boots were talking about their pranks that they did to their roommates Elmer and George. It was well after midnight when Elmer finally fell asleep and about time, thought Bruno as he opened the window and crawled out onto the deserted campus, he made his way to Dormitory 1 and tapped lightly on Boots' window, Boots peered out and beckoned. Bruno hoisted himself up and through the window and Bruno saw all the things that George had in the room and Boots said that George was at the infirmary suffering by fatigue because of the constantly run he did because George was mad at him because of the joke of the false disease, Bruno found it hard to believe that anyone would spend the day dying in bed just because of a few paint spots until Boots gave him the false article.

Bruno and Boots were also recalling the last dance in Miss Scrimmage's gymnasium and they were sad because they wouldn’t be allowed to go to the near annual dance therefore they could see to their girlfriends because in he last dance they put in the punch bowl some whisky as one of their usual pranks and Miss Scrimmage lost the control for drinking the punch with whisky.Bruno and Boots were planning now in how to frame Elmer and George in order to put them in problems with Mr. Sturgeon so that maybe in that way they could be together again as partners without any restriction.

Chapter 6 Summary: Round two

The chapter 6 is again about the Bruno and Boots’ plan to make angry to their new roommates and now they have another kind of way to make crazy to Elmer and George. Bruno crept around the edge of the deserted campus, across the dark highway and went towards to Miss Scrimmage's Finishing School for Young Ladies, he asked to Diane for help and told her if she could borrow him a skunk named Petunia that was her pet, then he took the skunk and brought it into McDonald Hall and Bruno put the skunk inside of the room. The plan consisted in making angry Elmer by placing the skunk inside of the room in order to make him scream and to freak him out and that was exactly what happened when Elmer saw the skunk in the room and in that moment Bruno had just finished to collect all the ants he owed to Elmer, but when Elmer got out of the room surprised for the Petunia the skunk, he ran full-tilt into Bruno, knocking him down and sending the jar of ants spiraling into the wall, where it shattered. Once again Dormitory 2 was crawling with insects and all the students were unhappy with all the disturbances and they were screaming that the ants had came back but now with skunks, then Mr. Sturgeon came at the scene and he put the order again and took the skunk to return it to its owner.

Boots in other case, he was planning something different to bother to George, the plan was about making George believe that he was sick with a tropical disease named creeping caliotis, to do that he went whit the newspaper editor to asking for a favor and he make a false article about the disease in the printing to show it to George. I order to make George believe that he was sick with the strange disease, Boots painted many red spots all over George’s face while he was asleep, then he woke up to George to make him see all the spots that he had on his face in order to scared him; George was very nervous and scared and Boots told him that he had a strange disease and then he showed to George the false article that he made in the printing to make George believe that he was sick with the tropical disease because the article said that the people that had that disease was presenting many red spots all over their face, after George saw the article he tried to go whit the doctor but Boot told him that it would be better if the stay in bed, George accepted the suggestion.Boots’ plan was a success although then George found out about the red paint and he got very upset with Boots and he chased him for all McDonald Hall with a cricket bat.

Chapter 5 Summary: You keep ants?

This chapter is about Bruno and Boots’ plan to get back together as roommates and in order to the head master Mr. Sturgeon (The Fish) let them be friends again, the plan consist by making angry to their new roommates Elmer Drimsdale and George Wexford-Smyth III.

In the morning once again Elmer's alarm went off with an ear-splitting shrill at 6 a.m. and he rose promptly and began to dress, vaguely aware that something was not quite right. He puzzled over the odd feeling, but continued to get dressed but he realized that something wasn’t right and he suddenly started to screaming and crying for his ants saying that his ants are gone, Elmer stared at Bruno's bed and It was empty. It did not take him long to realize that Bruno's absence and the ants' disappearance were somehow related. He threw the door open and bolted into the hall trying to find Bruno in order to take back his ants.

About three doors away, Bruno was hurrying along with the large glass aquarium that contained Elmer's ant colony, to make Elmer angry the Bruno’s plan was about steeling the all Elmer’s ant colony and Bruno was saying that the ants doesn’t deserve to be imprisoned inside of that aquarium so he decided to let them be free. Elmer was very upset with Bruno because Bruno let escape to all the ant colony and all the ants were spread for all the hall, they tried to capture as many ants as they could but they couldn’t trap to all, in fact Elmer lost almost all the colony, of course Elmer seeing what happened to his ants, he went to the headmaster’s office in order to blame Bruno for all the disaster, Bruno was very happy about that because the plan of making Elmer angry was successful, Bruno was punished by Mr. Sturgeon by making him collect again all the ants that were lost.

At 7:30 that same morning Boots was writing to his mother. George was still asleep and Boots watched George intently for a few seconds to be sure he was sound asleep. Then he approached the only shelf in the room that was not filled with medicines and carefully he took down the book marked mint stamps - Canada and opened it up. Inside of the book was a set of queen Victoria stamps of 1886 so he took the stamps and left seventeen cents for the stamps although the true value of the stamps actually was more high then Boots left the book open on George's desk in order to make George angry for losing his stamps then Boots stuck the stamps on the envelope and mailed the letter on his way to breakfast.

George was screaming and making too much noise for losing his very expensive stamps and he stared at Boots and he asked to him about his stamps and Boots said that he used the stamps to send a card to his parents and he paid for the stamps, but Boots only just left seventeen cents and the true price of the stamps was three hundred and fifty dollars and because of that George was very upset so he went to the headmaster’s office to accuse to Boots for ruining his very expensive stamps.Boots was also punished like Bruno but the Boot’s punishment consisted in working after school for three whole months to collect the money for paying the George’s stamps.

Chapter 4 Summary: Assignment: obnoxious!

The chapter 4 is about Bruno and Boots trying to solve their problem with the punishment that the head master Mr. Sturgeon or the “Fish” gave them, because they both ate to be separate and they hate to their new roommates, Bruno and Boots have problems with Elmer and George because they have strange habits, if we speak about George, he gets angry when Boots wakes up with his morning sneeze because he thinks that Boots is spreading many germs inside of the room and after that he begins to act like a maniac and cry while wheeling out a large screen and placing it in the room between the two beds and putting a sign that says quarantine in the Boot’s side.

For Bruno the problems were different because Elmer always has the routine of setting the clock’s alarm at the 6:00 a.m. making a lot of noise and waking up Bruno very early to an hour that Bruno was not accustomed, and when Bruno wanted to prepare to the breakfast he tried to get close by opening the drawer but he notice that Elmer had plants inside of the drawer and Elmer said that also one of his many interests was the world of the plants besides the insects and fish world. Bruno get to the cafeteria earlier because of Elmer’s alarm and the women in the kitchen thought that he was a new student because Bruno have never gone to the cafeteria that early, Bruno took a lot of food and because of hat he got sick and started to feel very bad in the class, Boots also was in the class but in the other side of the classroom to keep them separate as the head master Mr. Sturgeon ordered.

Bruno and Boots were very upset because of the fact that he weren’t allowed to associate and meet each other, but Bruno had an idea; he said that if they bother too much to their roommates maybe they get very upset in order to make them go with Mr. Sturgeon and make them asking for another roommate and with that get together again.

Chaper 3 Summary: The cannon at midnight

The chapter 3 is about Bruno and Boots when they decided to see each other at midnight in the bushes behind of the cannon in despite of the headmaster’s orders. Boots was the first person who arrived at the meeting point, and was very scared of that Bruno wouldn’t come, but Bruno came a little late because he went for something to eat, he brought sandwiches and chocolate milk shakes, they were eating the food and talking about their roommates, Boots said that George was a crazy maniac of the money and health, and his teletype machine was disturbing him and it won’t let him sleep, but Bruno countered saying that his roommate was the worst because Elmer was a strange boy who loves the insects and studies the fish and had the room full of his insects and the bathroom was like an aquarium.

Boots exclaimed that his roommate was the worst, because George Wexford-Smyth III had the room full of medicines and stock exchange charts, he couldn’t keep his stuff in the bathroom because of all his pills and ointments, and he couldn’t hang his clothes in the closet because the teletype machine took up too much room, But Bruno said that at least he wasn’t an ichthyologist whose world is the undersea world, and said that the bathtub was full of caviar.They both were agree that they had to do something about the problem and they knew that they had to figure out how to solve their dilemma, but first they had to think about it and after of returning to their new rooms, Bruno hid the rest of the food inside of the cannon in order to have food in a emergency.

Chapter 2 Summary: The Fish's decree

The chapter 2 of the history begins with Bruno and Boots walking to the headmaster’s office, because they received a note from headmaster Mr. Sturgeon. When they arrived to the office they got very nervous and then Mr. Sturgeon started to shout them and he said that he was almost sure that they had to do with the Malbonia’s flag, the mascot’s kidnap and the infamous record of jokes.

Mr. Sturgeon continued asking to them if they did any of those things and the boys sat stiff and silent, but Mr. Sturgeon kept asking, and then Bruno admitted all about the jokes, Mr. Sturgeon was very upset because they caused a lot of troubles and therefore they were punished.

Mr. Sturgeon thought that Bruno was a bad influence for Boots so he decided to separate them by taking them to different rooms and also they were forbidden to associate in any manner, this kind of punishment was very hard to deal with for Bruno and Boots because they were the best friends and they were very sad for the headmaster’s decision; the idea of separate Bruno and Boots was very sad, shocking and outrageous.

Nevertheless Bruno had an idea; he told to Boots that they could see each other at midnight near to the bushes behind the cannon in despite of the headmaster’s orders, then Bruno and Boots went to separate ways in order to go to they new rooms with their new roommates, Bruno went to the room number 201, and his roommate was Elmer Drimsdale, a skinny boy with a crew cut and thick glasses, Elmer was a strange fascination about insects and fish because he had many insects in the room also an ant farm with a queen, and he had an aquarium inside of the bathroom, and Boots knocked on door of the room number 109, in that room was a boy named George Wexford-Smyth III, he was a handsome fellow dressed in several hundred dollars' worth of suede and cashmere sports clothes with a very expensive haircut, he was very interested about the money and health.

Both Bruno and Boots were very uncomfortable with his new rooms and new roommates but maybe they could do something to fix the problems.

Chapter 1 Summary: It's always us

This history occurs in Toronto Canada, in a campus that is in front of the Miss Scrimmage’s School for young ladies; we can find MacDonald Hall, were generations of young men studies. The main characters of the history are two particular students who enjoy making jokes to everybody; they are Bruno Walton and Boots O’Neal, they are best friends and they get many problems due to their pranks, also they make fun of the headmaster Mr. Sturgeon who has the nickname of “the Fish”, because he never smiles and he doesn’t have a good sense of humor about Bruno and Boots’ humoristic jokes.

As one of their pranks they changed the scholar Canadian flag by switching it for the Malbonian flag, Mr. Sturgeon was very upset when got out of his car and stared at the flag of Malbonia instead of the flag of Canada.

Bruno and Boots are in the hockey school team and Boost was the captain of the team; in the college they were in the annual hockey game between the Macdonald Hall and the York Academy Cougars, and as always Bruno and Boots were planning something interesting; they decided to steal the Cougars’ mascot, the mascot was a very fat cat. They took the cat to the dressing room before the game starts and the cat seems to be sick or something like that, also boots got scratched by the angry cat, although they thought that the couch Flynn wouldn’t notice the scratch, he discover that they had stolen the cat and he got angry with them, the other team also notice that they were behind of all, and one of the players of the Cougars stared at Boots face, then suddenly dropped his stick and gloves and throw him to the ice and all the game they were struggling with the other team.

The final result was 4 – 1 with the victory of the Macs and at the end of the game Bruno and Boots showered and dressed hurriedly to return the cat to the Cougars, but when they went to see the cat they discovered the reason of why the cat was very fat and sick, because the cat was pregnant and she had her kittens, Bruno and Boots were very surprised for that and they put the cats inside of a laundry bag and get into the Cougars scholar bus to return the cats, but they didn’t notice that Mr. Sturgeon was hiding in the bus, when he saw Boots he almost discover about the kidnap, but suddenly Bruno came and said that the cat only was hidden to have her kittens, because of that they skip the problem from now or maybe not.
